What Causes Lower Back Pain And Urinary Incontinence?
HI- I am a 47 year old healthy , fit woman. I am 5 5 and weigh @ 115. Lately, I ve been experiencing lower back pain (lumbar) that turns into almost cramping pain, and along with this symptom I ve been more bloated than normal and have incontinence (urine). The past couple days these symptoms have all been fairly acute. I m worried about such things as, endometriosis, cancer of something, and any other unknowns. Thoughts? Ranny
Based on your symptoms, I would like to rule out uterine enlargement due to fibroids or other tumors and urinary tract stones.
-what colour is your urine? How frequent? -do you have any children? By vaginal delivery or C-section? -any stool changes? -any difficulty during intercourse? Or vaginal dryness? -Have you attained menopause? -any other medical issues or surgeries? Any. Medications?
I recommend : - a physician and OBGYN consult - an ultrasound abdomen and pelvis. A CT scan of abdomen if Indicated -blood tests (complete blood count, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, kidney function tests) -urine analysis
Based on the above results and clinical finding and history I can help you further. Drink plenty of water. Avoid irritants like coffee, carbonated drinks and spicy food. See your doctors as soon as possible. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with Wish you good health
