What Causes Lower Back Pain, Frequent Urination With Blood In Urine?
i have had blood in my urine and had to culture and sensitivity tests with no infection but epithelial + found in both test done. I have to empty my bladder a lot and its a full bladder with back pain and i dont sleep well at night as i have to get up to empty my bladder. I am feeling tired all the time aswell
Hello and welcome to HCM, Increased frequency of urination along with urgency is seen in prostatic disorders in males. You need to consult an urologist for examination of prostate gland and for urodynamic study. Enlargement of prostate is a common phenomenon in middle aged and elderly males. Enlargement of prostate can lead to obstruction in urine flow and thus symptoms of increased frequency and urgency. Presence of blood in urine can be due to trauma in the urinary tract. Stones are most common cause of trauma to urinary tract. Thus, clinical assessment of the urinary tract is also required. Absence of bacteria or pus cells rules out infection in the urinary tract. Thus, consultation with an urologist is required for relevant investigations and thus treatment.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
