Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Lower Back Pain, Heaviness In The Abdominal Area And Dizziness?
Hello, I m not sure what type of problem I have -- I have pain in my lower back from left to right. If feels full. I was thinking it s constipation. When I go to walk I feel a heaviness in my adomen area, a soreness, not pain, but a soreness and it makes it a little difficult to walk. I have recently started having dizziness. I have gotten into this bad habit of very little water (2 - 4 glasses) each day -- (I just don t feel thirsty) -- and I am overweight - 5.7 female, 350 pounds. I m sedentary, but can get around very quickly - until about 10 days ago when all of this started.
Based on the history you have shared, it can be due to constipation however possibility of renal or ureteric colic should be ruled out specially being triggered with very less water intake. I suggest taking an ultrasound abdomen as well as ultrasound KUB. Urinalysis may also be needed. Meanwhile OTC analgesics like acetaminophen or Ibuprofen alongwith anti spasmodic like drotavarine can be helpful for symptomatic relief.
Wishing you a speedy recovery. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
