What Causes Lower Back Pain Post Intake Of Atorvastatin?

I started taking atorvastatin on Sunday. By Mon. I noticed pain in my lower back (muscle pain on both sides) Wednesday and Thursday it got worse. I have been putting my heating pad on my lower back and by evening it is much better. I take atorvastatin 40 mg at bedtime and wake up about 2hrs later with pain in my lower back muscles again. Could this medicine be causing this problem?
