What Causes Lower Back Pain That Radiates To The Abdomen?

Hi - I am 43, 5 3 and weigh 195. I have a history of kidney stones with the last one being approximately 2 years ago. I have been having pain in my lower back on the left side that travels around to the abdomen. I feel a frequent urge to urinate at times and at other times, I seem to be able to wait for longer periods of time than usual. My pain has been a constant dull pain with an occasional pinching sensation. Sound like a kidney stone? Could it be something else?

Hello,

History of kidney stones along with pain in lower back radiating down to the abdomen, urge to urinate are suggestive of kidney stones with urinary tract infection.

I suggest you consult your urologist for clinical assessment, relevant investigations and management of the kidney stones.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
