What Causes Lower Back Pain With Blood In Urine?

I am 64 yr old female.for two yrs I ve been having lower back pain and see my pop.he sent me to a surgeon who told me it was because I smoke on occasion and am slightly overweight.yesterday I see blood in my urine.now what? That was meant to be primary care physician. The back pain is no worse than usual.i take two aleve each day.
