What Causes Lower Left Abdominal Pain, Sweating, Lightheadedness And Urge To Urinate?

Lower left abdominal pain which wraps around my left side to my back. Accompanied by lots of pressure like needing to urinate or have a bowel movement, but can t do either. I am usually very regular. Along with this, my stomach bloats and gets very hard. This goes on for several hours with the pain being so severe at times that I feel like I m in labor, getting hot and sweaty and lightheaded one minute, followed by feeling chilled and cold the next. There is no comfortable position to alleviate the pain during these episodes. Eventually the pain starts to subside and completely goes away, and may not appear again for 6 months or longer.

Hi,

How long you had these problems? Is this associated with nausea or vomiting or loose stools? These symptoms can be caused by urinary tract infection or renal colics (like in urinary stones). In such cases, after examining abdomen, I used to order a urine routine examination +/- ultrasound abdomen. Kindly discuss with your doctor. Meanwhile, drink plenty of fluids. Tablets like cyclopam (paracetamol+dicyclomine) can alleviate the pain temporarily.
