What Causes Lower Left Back Pain?

My husband recently has been having sporadic pain in his left back area around the kidney. He had a renal ultrasound Monday but it shows there is one stone on the right side. Tonight he is in severe pain after having a pain free day. Has done nothing strenuous but he can barely even walk to the bathroom. No hurting when urinating

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think the stone has moved and passing through the urinary pathways.

Should get hot tubes bath, together with apply warm compresses on the aching back. Plus, spasmex or paracetamol can help ease the pain.

Take herbal supplement to dissolve the stone. Drink plenty of water.

All the best.
