What Causes Lower Left-sided Chest Pain?

Hi, My father is 62 years old and recenly he had some pain on the lower left side of his chest so I got his ECG done. The ECG diagnosis reports say the following 1. Sinus rhythm 2.poor R in I 3. No significant ST-T Changes 4. Co- relate clinically. Can you please tell me what this means. Thanks.

Hi, Since your father is aged 62, what you have done is absolutely right. ECG findings are normal. But you need to fully rule out cardiac conditions before concluding other things.
You may next get an echo done following a tread mill test (TMT), which will give the functional capacity of the heart with tolerance to exercise.
If the above tests are normal, then no need to worry much. The pain may be due to muscular origin, which can be treated by analgesics and muscle relaxants.
If any cardiac abnormality is noted, seek intervention from a cradiologist without any further delay.
