Hi,I am Dr. Radhakrishna (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I've been having lower right abdominal pain and am not sure what the problem is. It has been going on for about 2 days and when I first experienced it, it was sudden and sharp. Now it is mostly a dull, constant pain that gets worse when I move. I'm trying to determine if i should see a doctor, but I would rather not see a doctor if I am only going to be told that there is nothing they can do. Thanks!
Hi. The symptoms you have noted are classical of appendicitis. Better too get a clinical examination by a Surgeon and investigations of blood, urine and stool and ultrasonography to prove or find another possible reason. Ct scan i needed only if the diagnosis is not clear. And remember why should a Surgeon say- that nothing can be done. Go for surgery if appendicitis.
