Hello dear
Understand your concern
Your Fasting blood sugar is 116 mg/dl (normal:70-110 mg/dl)
HbA1c: 5.8 (normal:
This report suggests you are pre diabetes stage. (impaired fasting gylcemia)

Now come to your query.
In following conditions Post postprandial glucose level is less than Fasting blood sugar:
- high insulin sensitivity,
- exaggerated response of insulin and glucagon like peptide 1,
- defects in counterregulation,
- anxious individuals,
- after massive weight reduction
After taking only glucose
Consult the Endocrinologist and MD biochemistry consultant for below:

- There is a need to have lower limit of reference interval of PP blood glucose
after standard OGTT in day to day medical practices,
- Glucose appears to be a stronger agent than the more natural mixed meal in your case causing post prandial lowering of plasma glucose. Hence, it should be evaluated with their usual meals before considering further investigations.

If occurring still low after the usual meal then

-go for extended glucose tolerance test and after that extended post meal tolerance test

As you are prediabetic stage, take following advice:
Take small frequent meal than larger meal, avoid excessive sweets,do exercise regularly 45-60 minutes in the morning and take fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables like salad more in diet.

Hope this may help you
