What Causes Lump In Inner Buttocks?

I have a very large purple welt ĺooking lump in my inner bum cheek. It is extremely painful. It has no head but is spreading so it s getting to the stage I can t sit down. It s there about 2 weeks. In the beginning it was a small red raised lump and went away I thought. It is very hot also.
