Noticed a lump that is movable,on the left side of my chest, I am a 62 yr old male, had open heart surgery about 5 yrs ago, this area has always been a little numb. Is there anything you can tell me, besides go get it checked, which is what I intend to do.
If this movable lump is not in the line of a scar of your heart surgery, this can be a sebaceous cyst as the most probable cause.
If it is on the scar- this is called an inclusion cyst And the treatment of both the things is same. If the lump is not symptomatic , you can wait and watch. Discuss about this lump when you are visiting your Doctor and ask about removal.
