What Causes Lump Inside The Cheek After Wisdom Tooth Removal?
Hello, i removed my left lower wisdom tooth a couple of mounths ago. After the svelling in my cheek was gone, i could feel a lump inside my cheek. The lump is still inside my cheek, i dont have any pain or things like that, im just wondering over what the lump can be. It's laying inside the cheek near the jawe where i had the surgery done.
As per your complain the lump inside the cheek can be due to injury or irritation caused to the cheeks during the extraction procedure or due to persistant cheek bite by teeth..
The irritation leads to overgrowth of fibrous tissue present in the cheeks leading to formation of a lump like structure known as fibroma.
It is mostly painless until traumatized by teeth..
I would suggest you to consult an ORAL SURGEON and get evaluated for the cause of lump so that proper treatment can be planned out..
In case of fibroma excision of the growth can be done..
Hope your query is solved..
Thanks and regards.. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
