What Causes Lump Near The Toe?

Hi, I didn t see anything written about feet, particularly (sp.) bunyons. I believe that is what the bump on the side of my big toe is called. Do you have any information on this? It is not causing me pain, just unattractive. Janet Peterson YYYY@YYYY Thank You!

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the lump near toe without pain indicates soft tissue lesion in form of bursa involvement or else. Many times prolong compression during particular postural adaptation as sitting cross legs, handling sewing machine through foot or other occupational exposure can be seemingly contributing. The management would be of surgical approach for curative concern though there is no pain as the medicines are not going to resolve it.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
