What Causes Lump On Bicep?

I had a knot on my bicep and dr prescribed antibiotics for 10 days. After about 5 or so days it has shrank a lot. What could this be if the antibiotic is working? Just wondering why I have it or what exactly it is! The dr said if it didn t go away with the medicine he would do a biopsy

It may be an abscess or lipoma, but as for the antibiotic made it shrink. Thus, it is probably an abscess. Keep on the antibiotic.
