Hello,

A bump or lump on the head may be due to injuries, cysts, fatty growths, inflamed hair follicles, and bone spurs. Bumps on the other parts of the body may be due to skin cyst, lipoma, benign tumors, etc. Since now you are experiencing bad headache, you are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP. Get investigations and imaging tests done to rule out any malignancy. If it is cyst or bone spurs you will be treated accordingly. If it is osteoma [a benign (not cancerous) bony growth], it needs no treatment, it is benign but do not keep touching it.

For bumps on the ears you can take a course of antibiotics like doxycycline -100mg. You can apply ointment Neosporin on the affected area. Take care of your hygiene, take bath regularly. Stay well hydrated. Take acetaminophen, one stat when needed to ease headache. Stay away from stressful lifestyle. Avoid addictions if any. Take quality sleep.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
