What Causes Lump On The Scrotum?

I have a lump/bump under my scrotum left hand side where scrotum meets my leg. Almost feels like wart or hard mole, other than being uncomfortable there is no pain. Side note i had a varicocele vein in my mid 30s, i am 52 now....any idea what this bump is?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
Understand your concern.
I think it is varicocele of venous plexus of scortum as you had history of varicocele.

Following are the other causes of lump in scortum
1. Hydrocele
2. Hernia
3. Epididymitis
4. Cyst of epididymis
7. Cancer of testis
8. STDs: syphilis and gonorrhoea

You should consult the surgeon and do following test:
1. Blood: CBC, ESR
2. STD screening
3. USG and colour doppler of testis
4. Biopsy should be take from testis
That help in diagnosis
and then take treatment

Hope this may help you
Best regards
dr. Sagar
