What Causes Lump On The Top Of Toe Joint?

Hi I have a hard lump on the top of my big toe joint (where the toe joins my foot). It s as hard as bone, the size of a large pea and more prominent when I bend my toe but doesn t hurt. It s been there several months and doesn t appear to have changed in size at all, what could this be and should I visit my doctor? Many thanks, Jen

Hard mobile lump in joint is most of the time ganglion, if it is troubling you by pain or getting bigger or interfere with your routine, surgical removal is advisable
