Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 4 year old son has a tiny red bump just above his upper lip. it has been there about a week, is not painful or itchy at all. Difficult to tell if it is pimple like or one tiny blister. Does not appear to be cold sore or cluster of blisters. He has also recently been using his nebulizer. Any thoughts?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain a red bump above the upper lip does not sound to be anything serious and it can be either due to bacterial infection or folliculitis or allergic reaction to the nebulizer medicine.. You need not to worry as it is not causing any pain and will most probably resolve on its own.. Avoid picking over it else it can get infected.. In case if there is any pain or increase in size or discharge from it you can apply an antibiotic ointment over it and if there are some more allergy symptoms consult a Paediatrician and get evaluated..
Hope this information helps..
