What Causes Lump Under The Skin In The Right Buttock?
I have an irregularly shaped lump under the skin that itches occasionally. It is located on my lower right buttocks closer to the back of my thigh than it is my upper butt. It has been there for a couple of years now and has not bothered me much (other than occasionally itching). I am wondering now if it might be getting larger though. There isn t any discoloration and its probably the size of a nickel. Is it a tumor, a cyst, or something else? Thank You.
it is best if you consult with a doctor, preferably a general surgeon, for medical and physical examination. based from your description, it could be a cyst (a sebaceous or a keratinous type). these lesions can occur anywhere in the body and have the tendency to recur. management (medical and surgical) will be directed accordingly.
hope this helps.
good day!!
