What Causes Lump Under The Skin Of Breast Along With Flaky Areola?

I recently found a lump just under the skin in my right breast, I went to get it checked out at the doctors and I am on a waiting list to be seen by a breast consultant. Today I found that my nipples are peeling dry flaky skin. Prior to this they have been itchy, now they are tender to touch and make me feel slightly nauseous to touch! Any advise will be highly appreciated!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
From history it seems that there might be having some local skin infection near areola like dermatitis or fungal infection.
Due to itching there might be having small cuts on the part leading to infection around that part producing swelling and tenderness.
You might require one course of antibiotic medicine for 5 days.
Apply triple action cream locally after proper cleaing.
Go for full breast check up with breast consultant when you get appointment.
Ok and take care.
