What Causes Lumps Above The Testicles?

I have gone to a urologist for a lump I found just above my testicul 2 yrs ago. I had two ultrasounds and a biopsy of the lump. Test results said it was some kind of staph (spermatic cord). The doc put me on antibiotics and I took the entire script! The lump did get slightly smaller but was always there. Have tried them several times since but now lump is getting bigger and unbearable during sex. Im 43 could I get a vasectomy and have the lump removed If indeed it is staph on the spermatic cord?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi. You could get the lump removed along with a Vasectomy. You will have to discuss it with your Surgeon. He will have to plan the Surgery accordingly centered on the lump. Also please ensure that it is sent for a biopsy so that you come to know what the lump was exactly. Take care and do let us know if we can help you further with any queries. Take care.
