Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I just got off the phone with my 20 year old son. He has two lumps in his groin area and has seen a Dr. for that. He is getting an ultrasound today to rule out a hernia. He has also had blood work to rule out an STD. Now, for the last 4 to 5 days he says that he is unable to eat and he gets exhausted walking up a flight of stairs. He is in college and the soonest he can see a doctor is next week. I don t know if the lumps are related but we are wondering what could be causing the other problems.
Hi, It seems that he might be having enlarged painful inguinal lymph nodes giving rise this problem. This might be due to some bacterial infection in surrounding area. There is another possibility of having inguinal hernia. On clinical examination it will give exact nature of his problem. Ok and take care.
