What Causes Lumps On Sternum And Bruises On Collar Bone?

I have a 9 year old son and the other night, he came out and asked about some lumps that were on his sternum. There are 2 hard bumps near the end of his sternum, one on each side. The next morning, he woke up with a rather large bruise immediately above his collar bone. He hasn't hit it or anything, should I be concerned???

Hi, dear.
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. Lump above your coller bone may be some enlarged supraclavicular lymphnode. It may be due to reactive hyperplasia or may be some other disease like tuberculosis or lymphoma.
You should go for fine needle aspiration cytology to check exact diagnosis. Then you should take treatment accordingly.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer.
Thanks for using health care magic.
Wish you a very good health.
