Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a lot of lumps on scalp under hair. These lumps are itchy and scaly, drives me crazy, with constant scratching. I have been to numerous dermatologists. No one has the same answer. Last Dr. diagnosis Neurotic Excorations, before that Yeast infection on scalp, keratoic plaques,at one time I requested a culture and came up staff infection. I was given some anxiety medication as well as meds for the infection. this cleared up for a few months then the scalp condition came back 2013. there were three of the ten doctors that diagnosed with psychological issues. I have been dealing with this for 6 years now. it all started after I had a hematoba removed from lower back left side. Dr. said it burst open like a gun shot going off and the fluid shot up to the lights and on aides. Is it at all possible that I contracted something from that surgery? I do have appointment with psychiatriac doctor in February. What say you?
The lump you are describing has likely arisen from the bone. Given that it is not growing or changing size significantly, and you do not have any associated symptoms like pain, the lump is likely of benign nature like an osteoma.
Please be advised to follow up for the ultrasound evaluation as scheduled. Meanwhile, there is nothing alarming and you can relax.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
