What Causes Lumps On The Shoulders And Upper Back?

I have a knot in my shoulders, upper back that has been bothering me for about 2-3 months now. It seems to float around to different spots but always upper back/shoulders. I ve also noticed a lot more sounds from my body in that area (same sounds as when you crack your knuckles). What is wrong or what is this a symptom of?

Consult a physician and get evaluated. It could be multiple lipomatosis. An MRI can be tried to confirm the diagnosis.
