What Causes Lumps Throughout The Body?

I have several soft lipomas throughout my body...some internally... the largest one in my lower abdomen/pelvis area and pressing on the top of my bladder. The size from MRIs in 2012 was 9cm x8 cm x 7 cm, with recent MR I showing slight growth since then. Do you have any good suggestions as to how this lipoma can be removed safely? I am 74 yrs old with a few non lifethreatening conditions...have fibribromyalgia since 35 yrs old. All blood work good except cholesterol high ... ab 220. No diabetes. The lipoma condition is Dercums Disease, we believe. Condition started in 2005. Was terribly painful in beginning, now just uncomfortable. I have a number of large lipomas in my trunk also...one 10 cm x 4 cm pressing against my liver. Thank you for any help you can give me, especially for removal of the mass in my pelvic area.

Oncologist 's  Response
Hello,

A rare case, an unexplained lump, bump or swelling can be a sign of a more serious issue beneath the skin. Bumps that are cancerous are typically large, hard, painless to the touch and appear spontaneously. One type of cancerous lump that can form almost anywhere in the body is called adult soft tissue sarcoma.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
