What Causes Lumpy Bruise On Left Side Of Belly?

Hi my 41/2 year old son has a bruise about 2inch long as looking at him slight left of belly toward hip which also feels very lumpy. He says it doesn t hurt and doesn t flinch when I touch it. He also doesn t know how he has done it &hasn t complained. Is it a cause of concern?
