What Causes Memory Loss, Acid Reflux, Tripping And Falling While On Prilosec?

I have noticed my memory has changed. I have a vitamin B12 deficiency, acid reflux & I have tripped & fallen several times recently. I am planning to make an appointment with my PC as soon as I can. Do you think these issues are related? I also have lost my sense of smell. I ve been taking Prilosec for 5 years. I also am treated for a panic disorder by taking clonazepam & lamictal & adderal for ADD

Hello,

Long term intake of proton pump inhibitors may lead to B12 deficiency, osteoporosis and dementia in a few patients. However, you may have to consult your treating doctor, he will give calcium and B12 supplement along with PPI.

If it is not necessary then stop taking PPI.

I hope this helps. If you still have queries, please feel free to ask.

Take care.
