What Causes Memory Loss After Spine Surgery?

My wife had spine surgery on September 20, 2016 and again on January 10, 2017. Her Neurosurgeon had her on Percocet for seven and one half (7 1/2) months. All the time I questioned the effects it was having on her. It has caused memory problems that are extremely bad, is this a normal occurrence in spine surgery ?

Hi,

As per my clinical experience, there are CNS side effects of Percocet on long term usage as:
- headache
- confusion
- dizziness
- mental impairment
- agitation
- cerebral edema.

I would like you to discuss the issue with neurophysician thoroughly for further guidelines of cure.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
