Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband 39 is unable to think clearly or remember things as well as he used to this past month. He loses his train of thought easily, he is really tired a lot, and his body hurts all over. His allergies seem to be a bother and nothing seems to work very well including Flonase. His B/P is okay, he drinks a lot of water and Powerade. I just found out our friend is having some of the same issues. He is very fruit hungry and no signs of being sick, along with all the other symptoms my husband is having. I would appreciate advice if you have any. Thank you
Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries
I can understand your concern. He is 39 years old so at this age memory loss is not very common. Considering his age forgetfulness, confusion, losing train of thoughts or lack of focus, persistent tiredness, pains in body etc symptoms can occur due to some mood disorder especially depression. Please consult a psychiatrist for his evaluation.
Vitamin B12 and Omega-3-Fatty acid supplements can help to improve day time activity and can help to reduce the tiredness. Medicines like SSRIs as Fluoxetine, Paroxetine, Fluvoxamine etc can also be used for poor focus, lack of concentration, tiredness etc symptoms of depression. Please visit a psychiatrist for help.
Hope this helps you. Thanks. Take care
