What Causes Memory Loss And Left Sided Head Ache After A Head Injury?
Hi, I fainted 4 years ago and banged my left side of my head on the way down and I was out for about 10 - 20 minutes, A year after my left ear started bleeding and becoming really painful, I have now been living with this for 3 years, Today I now have developed memory loss and a shooting pain going up the left side of my head, Any idea s? as this to me is progressively getting worse.

1. If it has started following head injury in the past first go for X-ray skull & C.T.Scan 2. If you feel there is any neurological sign [weakness of limbs or cranial nerves, convulsions] then get a Neurologist's opinion 3. Dementia resulting from head injury may cause memory loss and could also be due to shrinkage of frontal lobe [post injury] so if there is a history of head injury and now you are experiencing problem with cognitive function, you should definitely consult theese with your doctor
