General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concern
Your menstrual irregularities is due to hormonal imbalance.
But pregnancy can be rule out as you had sexual intercourse.
I would suggest to consult the gynecologist and undergo blood HCG, reproductive hormone analysis, USG scan and ovarian follicle study to rule out cause.
PCOS can be treated by the
Birth control pill or progesterone pill: to regularize the hormone imbalance
Tablet metformin: to decrease insulin resistance
Other treatment will depend on the test result
Avoid stress, take healthy diet, avoid excessive sweet, do regular exercise and reduce 10-12% body weight if you are obese
Hope this may help you
