What Causes Menstruation During Pregnancy?

I had sex September 1st and about a week and a half later i got my period and it stopped for about three or four days and got my period again... I went to the doctor and they gave me a pregnancy test and it came back positive... How is that possible if i got my period?

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Some women mistake an implantation bleed which can br mild and last for about 1-3 days to be their period and rule out pregnancy. If at all the serum pregnancy test reported positive pregnancy, an ultrasound should be conducted to confirm pregnancy in a while.
