What Causes Metal Smell In The Nostrils?

I have a strong persistent smell of metal in my nostrils. It does not affect my breath and it has no body related odor. I thought it might be related to taking 2400 mg of fish oil a day. I stopped that 48 hours ago and the smell persists. Any ideas?

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
It appears to be the result of the previous cold resulted in bleeding, and there would have been clots.
Sinusitis, and pus may cause such smell. Fish oil smell wont leave for may days after stopping it , if it is due to that.
A small boil in the nose can also cause such smell. if the smell is unbearable consult an E.N.T surgeon for diagnosis.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
