What Causes Metallic Sounds While Bending The Leg After Ligament Construction?

I had a ligament reconstruction in October 2008. But still my leg is not perfect. If I bend my leg I can hear some metal clicks. Do not have full confidence in my leg. How to know that the surgery was a success. When the metal clicking sound will go. Is a complete recovery not possible. What I can do to strengthen my leg.
