What Causes Metallic Taste In Mouth And Strange Feeling In Inner Lining Of Mouth?

I have a metallic taste in my mouth. Additionally the inner lining of my mouth has a feeling funny feeling. Not quite sure how to explain this funny feeling...when I touch the area with my tongue the texture feels different. There's no pain. I do not take medicines.

Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
The metallic taste can be because of the gum infection or pus discharge in the oral cavity. The other possible causes could be use of certain drugs like metronidazole, antihypertensives like lisinopril, fosinopril, enalapril, trandolapril, quinapril and ramipril. Anticancer drugs and antihistamines can also cause metallic taste. The metallic taste should return back to normal after stopping the medicines, it might take maximum of two weeks. If it does not subside then you consult a oral physician and get it evaluated.
I hope my answer will help you, take care.
