Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My girlfriend complains sometimes when I kiss her that my mouth tastes like metal. I dont have braces or anything like that, but I never notice till she mentions it. I sometimes feel the roof of my mouth afterwards and i can taste it from what feel like small cuts that dont hurt on the roof of my mouth. I also eat tuna fish as a post workout meal 4-5 times a week.
Thanks for asking the query. Understanding your concern. As per your query metallic taste in mouth after kissing is due to acid reflux which is known as Gastroesophageal Reflux disease due to which even you feel cuts at surface of palate as well. Due to poor control on sphincters it is happening. Need not to worry about it. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined as dysguesia could be another possible cause for your condition. start using antacids such as Ranitidine. Proton pump inhibitors is another choice of medication. Go for citrus food to stimulate your taste buds. Drink plenty of water and take diet rich in multivitamins.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
