What Causes Mid Cycle Bleeding With Back Pain And Fever?

I am a 31 year old female. I usually have irregular menstral cycles that occur between 31-36 days and last for just 4 days. This month is was 28 days and I bled for 7 days and then have been spotting for 2 extra days. Low back pain off and on and I have been running fever for the past 3 days and major headaches. I'm not overweight, I am 5'4 and 115 pounds. Any reasons why this bleeding is occuring?

Hello,
Your history suggests that you are suffering from an infection. It could be generalized or localized to the pelvis. The fact that you had an early and prolonged period suggests that there was some hormone disturbance and this could be related to the stress and infection. Please check with a physician as to the cause of the fever. A pelvic examination also is needed in addition to blood counts, urinalysis and a sonogram of the pelvis. Hope your query has been answered. Take care.
