What Causes Migraine While On Birth Control Pills?

I m 21 years old not on any birth control my period 3 weeks ago was very light and only lasted 2 days now it s just brown spotting I ve had terrible migraine I ve been in bed for 3 days fatigue restless leg syndrome hot flashes very thirsty no appetite, before I got sick I ve been having unprotected sex... my periods are irregular but I haven t had a normal period since September this is unusual

Hello,

Hormonal pills might cause headache due to vasodilation and it will worsen migraine.

As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

You can consider progesterone only pills as it is devoid of this side effects.
