What Causes Migraines, Twitching Of Eyelids And Pain At Base Of Head?

I have been having migraines this past four days, twitching of the right eyelids, and pains at the base of my head and neck. And the pain gets worst if I exert strength like lifting heavy objects or climb up the stairs. Even if take pain killers the pain does not stop.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
hello,
i can understand your concern.
with the history you have given there is a definite trigger factor for you get the migraine attacks. kindly avoid those if possible.
since you have been using painkillers and they have not been effective for you , you will have to use certain specific medications used for treatment of acute attacks of migraine.
these would include drugs like sumatriptan and ergotamine.
i would suggest you tab vasograin(paracetamol+ergotamine+caffeine+prochlorperazine) two tabs initially and one tab after 10 hrs.
this should not be taken more than 7 tabs in total a week .
kindly consult your physician before starting the medication.
hope i have answered your concerns.
feel free to ask further queries.
thanks for choosing HCM
