What Causes Mild Chest Pain While Suffering From Asthma?

I have a dull chest pain on the left in a very specific position. If i lie down on my right it hurts more and it aches a little when I breathe. I have asthma and its never really been a bother but over last 2 weeks Ive had to use my enhaler a good 5 - 10 times a day with two puffs at a time. Whats wrong with me?Im 21 and in good physical shape.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The pain may not be due to your asthma, it is possible that it may due to injury or inflammation of the soft tissue (bones , muscles or ligaments).

This is especially likely since the pain is worse in specific position, asthma would not do this.

You may want to try the use of an anti inflammatory agent such as naproxen, cataflam or ibuprofen to see if one of these helps.

A warm compress to the area may also help as well.

I hope this helps
