What Causes Mild Chest Pain With History Of Stent Placement In Heart?

Email YYYY@YYYY I am having occasional chest pains at different regions of the chest even when I am resting. I have two stents in my heart. The pains are mild. Also since getting the stents 8 years back I have been on a heart-healthy diet and exercise regularly. My normal heart rate is 62 beats per minute, during exercising I can let it reach 160 beats/minute. How do I figure out whether my pain incidents are angina or whether I am just panicking? I am 62.

Hi,

During heart exercises heart rate is allowed to get double. I feel you are overloading the heart so the pain is more likely to be anginal. Confirmation would be with stress test.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
