What Causes Mild Fever, Bumps On Tongue And Flushed Face In Children?
my granddaughter woke up in the middle of the night 2 nights ago vomiting, and a low grade fever. Then yesterday she was warm all day long except for a short while after having childrens motrin , which i gave every 4 hrs. She also is bright red, her face neck, chest and arms I noticed the most and the symptoms are still present today. I just looked in her mouth and her tongue is real bumpy with really small bumps. I unfortunately can not see her throat. what could this be
Understanding your concern. As per your query you granddaughter have symptoms of low grade fever, bumps on tongue and flushed face which is because of viral infection. It could be due to poor immunity of body. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to start with Ibuprofen for fever and take proper rest. Take diet rich in plenty of fluids. Avoid cold carbonated drinks. You should take take multivitamin supplement, containing Vit.C, B complex and magnesium to help with muscle stiffness and fatigue. Your symptoms will resolve in one week. Till then have rest and visit general physician once and get it examined. start with proper course of antiviral drugs after prescription. Avoid spicy food.
