What Causes Mild Nausea Along With Loss Of Appetite?

Hello, i have a concern thats been bothering me for close to 2 weeks now. Throughout the process of my day im experiencing mild nasea that is constant. 1 being least 10 being horrible, the nasea is a constant 3 all day. Im having a significant loss of appetite, i mean i ll be hungry, but when i try to eat, the swallowing reflex or basic intuitive function of it is off. i basically have to think and force myself to chew and swallow. These past 2 weeks i have lost regularity of my bowel movements....i tried laxative and it had me runnin to the bathroom for 24 hrs, which was cool...because i ate alot and didnt BM for 2 days before i did it. Now that the laxatives wore off, its back to this bloated, nasea during the day and chronic heartburn at nights. Its hard to eat and im not pooping. i dnt think its constipation because when i do have an urge to pass, my stool is loose in consistency and very little. I smoke a pack of cigs a day for 9 years....i also drink a beer a day after wrk daily, and i have some whiskey once a week, usually a nice 8oz cup straight. My blood pressure, blood sugar, all major vitals are normal as i get checked atleast 2 times a year. Im very concerned, any questions or answers, suggestions, would be greatly appreciated. im 26 years old btw Im running no fever, no headaches, no exterior pains, no swellings..

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have nausea along with loss of appetite which seems to be due to viral infection leading to acute gastroenteritis , sinusitis , meniere's disease or migraine. Frequent urination is pointing towards kidney infection , UTI or bladder dysfunction. I would suggest you to visit gastroenterologist once and get it examined if symptoms keeps on persisting. You should avoid intake of outside food. You should lessen use of milk and milk products. Doctor may also refer you to neurologist for migraine or ENT specialist for condition like meniere's disease. Avoid stress , drink lots of water to maintain adequate hydration. Avoid fast foods, carbonated drinks & gas producing food products like cabbage and dairy product, etc. Also take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain . Drink green tea with ginger thrice a day .

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Get Well Soon.

Best Wishes,
