What Causes Mild Pain And Swelling In The Lower Abdomen?

I have mild pain and swelling in my upper abdomen on the right side. A few weeks ago I fell in the parking lot of a Kohl s store and landed very hard on my right shoulder and arm. I couldn t lift my arm for a day or two, but it s gradually gotten better. Suddenly, today my abdomen is swollen and a bit sore. Is there any cause for concern? I don t have regular medical insurance, but am a veteran.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persists you can consult a gastroenterologist and plan for an ultrasound scan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
