What Causes Mild Pain In Upper Right Abdomen And Constipation?

hi sir , i have mild pain in the upper right abdomen and felling uneasy while sleeping. and i am suffering from constipation for 7days . my blood report shows that my TOTAL BILIRUBIN IS 1.2 and DIRECT BILIRUBIN IS 0.4. doctor prescribed me NORMAXIN is it correct medicine 3 years back i suffered from jaundice and my total bilirubin is 11.2 .

Normaxin usually prescribed for IBS disease cramps, is an antispasmodic. I don't think you need symptomatic medications. You need rather complete evaluation and workup and its very high time to treat the main cause, the main disease causing high (though normal ) limits of bilirubin.


Gallbladder disease, liver infection like hepatitis or mononucleosis may cause such lab values. You bilirubin test result is in the higher normal limits. It may also be due to sickle cell disease.


Diagnostic Work up needed:-
BLOOD WORK:-
Comprehensive Metabolic Profile
Differential blood counts
Liver viral markers
Liver fibrosis score

RADIOLOGICAL WORKUP:-
Ultrasound abdomen

URINE WORKUP:-
urine complete examination
