What Causes Mild Rectal Bleeding?

I m having some mild rectal bleeding, bright red, on the tissue but more than a small fissure has caused in the past. No bleeding if not actively straining. This is probably a tear from constipation straining which I m currently dealing with too but I m not sure whether to treat it like any other fissure (I m prone to them) or go get checked out for the slightly increased bleeding. No other symptoms.

Diabetologist 's  Response
Hello,

It is better to get the condition physically examined by a competent surgeon, before deciding what it is. If according to his opinion, there is any treatment needed, the same should be initiated. Just ignoring it is detrimental.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Prabhakar Laxman Jathar, Diabetologist
