Hi
Thanks for posting on HCM
Right upper quadrant pain could be caused by a wide variety of medical problems. Most if not all of these causes could give pain that will radiate to the back.Right upper quadrant pain are mostly due to problems with the
liver and
gallbladder. However, stomach/epigastrum, right kidneys and right lungs problems are possibilities. These possible causes include:
-Liver, gallbladder and pancreatic diseases
-Epigastric problems like Gastritis
-Bowel lesions, renal disorders and respiratory causes are less common.
With all these possible causes, i will advise you see a Doctor for examination.Your liver and gallbladder should be investigated but other rare possible causes should however not be neglected. In the meantime, i will advise you drink enough water, avoid alcohol and other drugs metabolized by the liver like
paracetamol till your Doctor tells you liver functions tests are ok.
Hope my answer will help you
Best regards
